#Book #Review: FisherDawg by Lisa L. Phillips #Childrens #Dog @FisherDawgBooks

About Fisherdawg:

Well Woofo there! Sorry, my mouth's a bit full here. I'm the one and only FisherDawg. Kind of like Superman! Dawg - I meant to say SuperDawg!

In this book, I'll tell you about my hero, the Phil-man and why I was nicknamed the FisherDawg. And let me tell you, it only gets crazier from here! Hold onto your seat - or in this instance - your fish!

This is a children's series that you and your child will both love! None of those illustrations though! You get the real me on every page. Really! Look inside! Uh-oh, my ego is showing! Woof!

More Information About the Book:

FisherDawg is a real dog with a zest for anything revolving around the sea. The wonderful color photography and antics described in the story are all drawn from real life and will capture the hearts of children and parents alike. The delightful humor and silly antics will bring smiles and warmth to all. FisherDawg also includes fish jokes, crafts and a scrumptious recipe for FisherDawg’s favorite cookies that you can make for your “dawg.”

My Review:

FisherDawg follows the activities of Cilla, a Cavalier King Charles spaniel, and the humans she loves.  Told from the POV of the dog, this cute book is quite entertaining.  The reader is taken into the life of FisherDawg and introduced to her favorite activities; from being loved on by children to coming face-to-face with a crab.  Her antics are amusing and you can't help but fall in love with FisherDawg.

Children will love the layout and design of the book.  Instead of drawn illustrations, this book features real photographs of FisherDawg in her most favorite environments.  With simplistic text and easy to understand dialogue, this should quickly become a youngster's favorite  bedtime story.  The book also includes activities and a pet treat recipe at the end of the book.  If you're looking for a picturesque children's book with a dog theme, then I highly recommend FisherDawg.

I will be sending this to my sister for my niece (age 5) and nephew (age 8) because, as dog lovers (they have two), I know they will enjoy the tale of FisherDawg.
