Review ~ Debauched in Diamonds (Tulle and Tulips, Book 4) by Nikki Duncan

When it comes to programmed assumptions, the heart is definitely not an easy hack.

About Debauched in Diamonds:

At work, Darci Drummond, aka The Bunny of Bling, shines as bright as her trademark tie-shaped diamond necklace. Her dating life is a bit more tarnished. After getting hurt by a string of boyfriends, she takes solace in helping other women shine on their special day.

She wouldn’t complain if she found someone to give her a few simple pleasures—and zero strings. Just not that nerdy computer programmer working upstairs.

Victor Green’s idea of a great Saturday night—any night, really—is a Starbucks and a code-filled computer screen. Yet somehow, at the relentless begging of his baby sister, he finds himself walking the runway at a bridal show where he meets a stunner sporting a tie-shaped necklace. The next thing he knows, he’s thrust into a matchmaking scheme with wedding bells in the background.

Tricked into a date with Victor, Darci finds herself embroiled in an affair with a man who’s nothing like he seemed. And as her resistance crumbles, she wonders if it’s time to let someone get closer than skin deep…

Warning: If you’re opposed to a man who forgets to clean and a woman willing to tolerate his quirks… Wait, isn’t that real life?

I really enjoy Nikki Duncan's Tulle and Tulips series.  Each book that I've read (and I have to admit, I'm not reading them in order) have been engaging and entertaining.  Debauched in Diamonds is another great installment in the series.

Darci, the keeper of the jewels that help brides sparkle on their bid day, isn't looking for a happily-ever-after.  She's been heartbroken too many times and is just looking for men to have a good time with - no strings.  She's not interested in wearing her own jewels as she walks down the aisle.

Victor is a computer code writer who prefers to stay at home rather than be part of the social nightlife.  His sister is getting married soon though and get herto leave him alone, he agrees to attend a local fashion show.  While at the fashion show, Victor comes face-to-face with the hottest woman he's ever seen...and realizes that the begging his sister did to get him there was all part of a matchmaking plan.

Darci is tricked into a date with Victor and they begin a hot and sexy no-strings-attached affair.  Will Darci and Victor be able to stay unattached or will their attraction turn into something a lot more permanent?

Debauched in Diamonds is a steamy novella full of romance and love.  I love how Darci and Victor are so different but able to figure each other out.  They deal with each other's crazy quirks in a way only two people in love could do.  Nikki Duncan does a fabulous job uniting her characters with their perfect matches.  The story is engaging and kept me interested from the very beginning.  The continued character development and world building in the Tulle and Tulips series makes this a must read series!!
