Review: A Little Bit Cupid by Jennifer Shirk (An Entangled Bliss Novella)

About A Little Bit Cupid ~

Finding love should be easy, but wedding photographer Phoebe Ward knows better. When Cupid shows up on a crazy mission to help her—and save the world in the process—Phoebe realizes love might be even more complicated than she thought. Even with Cupid showing her Mr. Right, she can’t stop thinking about his best friend, Mr. Wrong.

Cal Crawford has never had time for love, but now he’s falling for Phoebe. Which means it’s got to be just plain wrong to set her up with his best friend, right? But even though seeing Phoebe with someone else will break his heart, he can’t walk away from her.

Phoebe can’t afford to choose the wrong guy with the fate of the world at stake. But maybe Cupid has it wrong. Maybe she has to rely just a little bit on Cupid, and a whole lot more on her heart.

My Thoughts About A Little Bit Cupid ~

A Little Bit Cupid is a short and cute little read that is quite far-fetched. Not at all believable in the Cupid sense but entertaining just the same. Phoebe is a single photographer involved in the world of weddings. Always the wedding photographer but never the bride..... At the wedding of an ex, Phoebe is approached by a man claiming to be the descendant of Cupid. Cosmo Cupid informs Phoebe that the fate of love in the world relies on her finding her true love in, oh, just about a week. The only prospect is a man "fate" chose for her. (Fate as in, he's who Cosmo could come up with).

Phoebe ends up being paired with a former client, Adam. He's good looking and nice but their interactions are nothing short of forced. She can't help the sparks that fly between her and Adam's roommate, Cal. Is is possible that Cupid misdirected his arrow?

The lackluster attraction between in Phoebe and Adam is nearly as evident as the intense attraction felt between Phoebe and Cal. The reactions, feelings, and emotions that are written into Cal's character are sweet and realistic. Phoebe's insistence that she has to be with Adam not only drives' Cal crazy but you can tell that Phoebe isn't too fond of letting him go either. When the fate of the world and all of the love within rests on your shoulders like it does Phoebe, it's no wonder she tries to force the relationship with Adam - which is in direct conflict with her heart.

If you're looking for something quick to read with a "While You Were Sleeping" type of romance - the female lead falls in love with the brother/friend of who she's supposed to be engaged to/dating, then you'll enjoy A Little Bit Cupid.
