About Practical Uses for Princes with Pointed Ears:

Lillian Chambers was just an ordinary high school teacher, until she fell through a Fairy Circle. When she came to on the other side, she was surprised to find herself in the company of an Elven prince she thought only existed in her dreams. Now she’s slaying monsters and rescuing Prince Tallyn, instead of playing the part of the damsel in distress.

Tallyn had been the protector of his kingdom for over one hundred years. He knows that the world is filled with danger around every corner, but these days he’s finding himself babysitting the annoyingly fearless Lady Lillian.

When their worlds collide sparks fly, humorous situations ensue and the only thing for sure is that neither will ever be the same. Practical Uses for Princes with Pointed Ears takes readers on an adventure into a modern fairytale where we explore what it really means to fall for Prince Not-so-Charming.

I woke up the next morning to a dull throb in my head. I had the craziest dream ever, I thought to myself. I snuggled deep into the pillows and blankets around me, breathing deeply. There was something earthy and masculine to their scent. The owner probably forgot to wash them after her son moved out. I should do that later today. For now, I think I may just enjoy this secret shame.
My thoughts trickled out like water from a faucet.

Suddenly the thought of water made me all too aware that I needed the bathroom. The air was cool and I began to wonder how long I could go before needing to leave the warmth of my bed. I heard a rustle of fabric beside me which didn’t make sense. Slowly I opened one eye and then the other quickly.

There in front of me in perfect glory was the most magnificent butt I had ever seen. The leather pants that clung to it hugged its every manly curve. Without realizing it, I was staring.

“Oh, rhashajomtutgharilm,” A rich male voice mumbled.

I looked up at where the sounds were coming from, dragging my eyes over a perfect chest and pale beautiful skin stretched tautly over finely-toned muscle. His dark hair was a mix of braids, which tumbled down his back.
He had two perfectly formed lips meant to kiss a woman until she was dizzy, and piercing vivid green eyes that seemed to glow against his pale skin. “It’s you!” I squeaked.
“Ahllahmsheilimigwah?” I could tell he was asking me some sort of question but I was unsure what. Frustration was written on his face as he realized I didn’t understand.

“I’m sorry,” I said softly. I tried to sit up but winced when I put pressure on my hand.

Concern washed over his features and he gently urged me to lay back.

I sighed and rolled my eyes at him, then tried to sit up again. This time he held me in place with light pressure on one shoulder. “Tek,” he said shaking his head. Well, at least now I knew the word “no”.

“I need to go to the bathroom. Please move or I will move you,” I said to him calmly.

Confusion knit across his perfect features again. Looking at him I gave him what I hoped was my best apologetic look. Then as quickly as I could I lifted my feet and pushed against his chest. It successfully knocked him off of me but didn’t seem to hurt him. With my momentum, I rolled off the bed and dashed out the door of what appeared to be a tent.

Once outside I realized I was still in the woods and dashed toward some shrubs. I made it a few steps and discovered I was incredibly woozy. I felt myself sinking to the ground. Just as I was about to land face first into acamp fire, two strong arms wrapped around my waist and I was hauled back against his chest.

For a moment I thought about how nice it felt pressed against him but it was short lived. He spun me in his arms. “Lehmna ja?” I blinked and he quickly looked me over for injuries. Once he made sure I was uninjured he checked I was stable on my feet and carefully let me go. His hands hovered, in case he needed to save me again.
I looked into his eyes, then pointed at the trees near camp. I made a pleading motion with my hands then danced around like a young child does when they need to pee.

Suddenly, the light dawned and he blushed, motioning me towards the trees. He even turned his back and walked a little further away. I resisted the urge to giggle and made my way into the woods.
